Snappy Sync Soiree (Synchronous Fireflies)
Witness the beautiful display of thousands of synchronous twinkling fireflies flashing among the pines at the Bill Waller Craft Center.
Snappy Sync Soiree - Thursday, May 16 - Tickets $40
Guests at this exclusive preview party will enjoy music, light refreshments, wine, a guided firefly tour, and extended firefly viewing on the Natchez Trace Parkway from 7:30-9:30pm. This will be a true celebration of the start of summer for those who want to spend an evening immersed in the beauty of Mississippi’s synchronous fireflies!
Nighttime Photography Workshop - Thursday, May 16 - Tickets $95
Master photographer Kim Rushing will lead an intermediate-level course on nighttime nature photography during the peak of firefly season. The group will start with classroom instruction at the Craft Center from from 7:00-7:30, and then apply what they learn by photographing snappy sync fireflies together along the Natchez Trace Parkway when darkness falls. Tickets for the photography workshop also include access to the Snappy Sync Soiree event!
Firefly Tours - Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19 - Tickets $8
Guests will enjoy a 20-minute guided firefly tour near the historic Old Trace led by a Mississippi Master Naturalist. Witnessing the beautiful display of thousands of twinkling fireflies flashing together among the pines and hardwoods inspires incredible awe for the simple wonders that surround us every day.

The Bill Waller Craft Center is a state-of-the-art facility nested in the trees of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Craft Center displays the artwork of over 400 members of the Craftsmens Guild of Mississippi. The onsite galleries exhibit works of all kinds available for purchase, from glass, handcrafted jewelry, quilts, baskets, and wood-turned goods. This unique attraction serves as an information center as well as the site of craft classes and demonstrations.
