RIDGELAND TRAILS

The Chisa Foka Multi-Use Trail is a route for cyclists to utilize through the Ridgeland area of the historic Natchez Trace Parkway. The path is over 14 miles and travels from Harbor Drive to Rice Road to Highland Colony Parkway near the Natchez Trace Parkway. Several side trails bring users of the path to schools, shops and businesses.

The Ridgeland Trails for mountain biking offer ten miles of fast single track with unusual rolling hills and rock formations. These trails are great for medium to advanced cyclists.

The Magnolia Ridge BMX Park hosts races on weekends in the spring. "Mag Ridge" also hosts races every Saturday, as well as open practice on Tuesday nights at 5:00 pm. Rider groups from novice all the way to expert are welcome!
What Riders Say about Ridgeland
"Last week, my cousin and I had a chance to visit and stay in your city as we made our way north, cycling on the Natchez Trace. Inclement weather forced us to stay an extra day in Ridgeland; this was not a problem. Your city has an excellent cycling infrastructure as well as friendly citizens who were more than willing to help a couple of strangers find their way around. I don't have to tell you what a nightmare getting on the Trace can be in the mornings, and that the bike/pedestrian path that runs along the Trace was a godsend! Thank you, Mr. Mayor, and the wonderful people of Ridgeland for making our time in your fair city something to remember with fondness. I look forward to staying with y'all on our trip next year!"
- Mark, Alabama
When to Ride in Ridgeland
Ridgeland is home to the Natchez Trace Century Ride, a scenic bike ride on the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway. This race offers several distance options (25, 50, 62, or 100 miles) and is perfect for all ages and ability levels. If you'd like to explore "The Trace" on your own, be sure to review the safety information before you hit the road! Any day is a good day for a ride!
