Snappy Sync Fireflies - Ridgeland, MS

Experience “Snappy Sync” Fireflies at the Bill Waller Craft Center

Snappy Sync Firefly Tours are available for three nights, May 19 - 21 at the Bill Waller Craft Center. Witness the magic of thousands of twinkling Snappy Sync fireflies flashing together during a special, 20-minute guided tour near the historic Old Trace. These tiny creatures are a BIG deal as they only perform this breathtaking show for a short period of time, and we are so lucky to have them right here in Ridgeland. Each tour will be led by a Mississippi Master Naturalist ready to guide you in wonder as these rare fireflies illuminate the night like a forest full of fairies.

This rare and absolutely beautiful event is one you will want to bring the entire family to!

3 Things you should know to be "firefly friendly" for this event

  1. Wear bug spray and appropriate shoes - while the tours are led primarily on paved or wooded pathways, you may be required to walk through grassy or wooded areas. Bug spray is needed as the tour is outdoors.
  2. Bring a flashlight - There will be minimal lighting at this event in an effort to preserve the snappy sync's full illumination.
  3. No pets, please - Your furry friends will have to miss out on this event.
