Cycle Season is upon us!
The 15th Annual Fat Tire Festival & McGee LungBUSTER will be held Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th at the Ridgeland Mountain Bike Trails.
Following McGee is the 2022 Mississippi Cyclocross Series, with Spooky 'Cross set for October 29th & 30th and Cyclocross Festival later in November on the 19th & 20th. These outdoor, fresh-air races are FREE for kids making for a fabulous way to spend a fall weekend.
Just what is Cyclocross, you may ask? Way back in the 1900s, Europeans developed cyclocross as a way for road racers to stay fit during the fall and winter seasons. Cyclocross courses are usually 1.5 to 2-mile loops on both paved and off-road surface over flat-to-rolling terrain where obstacles require the riders to dismount and run while carrying their bikes. It’s this combination of cycling, carrying, running and scrambling over obstacles that make cyclocross a great workout and a whole lot of fun – for kids and grown-ups alike!
FAT TIRE FESTIVAL & McGEE LUNGBUSTER – October 15 & 16

- On-site Registration: will close 30 minutes prior to the start of each race (extra $10)

- Activities: Featuring music by Chad Wesley Band on Saturday at 6:00. Attendees can expect a fun fall weekend filled with music, games, and local food!
SPOOKY ‘CROSS – October 29 & 30

- Activities: Wear your favorite halloween costume and enjoy food trucks! Discounted tickets available before October 28th.
RIDGELAND CYCLOCROSS FESTIVAL – November 19 & 20
- Location: Freedom Ridge Park, 235 West School Street, Ridgeland, Mississippi.
