Over 34 Mississippi artists from across the state will gather to compete at the first annual Pacesetter Plein Air Competition Renaissance at Colony Park. The artists will find locations that inspire them and paint cityscapes across this beautiful location Ridgeland, MS.  You will find works of incredible artists right at your fingertips in Ridgeland, as the artists paint in watercolor, oil, pastel, and mixed media. The beautiful architecture, flowers, and fountains at Renaissance make this the perfect location for a paint out and a great place to shop and dine as artists at work.  Each artist has from 2:00-6:00 PM to complete a painting in watercolor, pastel, oil, or acrylic.

The Artists’ Reception and Sale will begin at 6:30 PM with Clinton, MS, artist Rick Anderson judging the show. The reception will be highlighted with hors d’oerves by local Ridgeland restaurants. Artwork created during the day will be available for sale, with the award-winning work on display and sale through November at the first Pacesetter Renaissance Show which will be held in the Renaissance Main Office. Local businesses have shown their support with cash and prize awards with Pacesetter Gallery and Renaissance at Colony Park providing the Best of Show Award of $1000.
