Art, Wine & Wheels set for April 30 – May 2, 2021

Spring festivals are safely returning and Ridgeland looks forward to hosting visitors and locals alike at its Art, Wine and Wheels weekend April 30 – May 2, 2021. Over the last twelve years, this exciting weekend in Ridgeland has grown to include fine arts and wine festivals with live music and great food, a 5K race and a bicycle ride that brings in thousands of folks from all over the U.S. All the fun takes place at the beautiful, open-air Renaissance at Colony Park and along the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway.

The weekend begins with the first-ever Kick-Off Party, a free-to-attend event at the Renaissance featuring a live performance from Dr. Zarr and the Amazing Funk Monster Band. This free concert begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 30 on the stage at the new interactive show fountain at Renaissance at Colony Park.

Concert goers can enjoy a sampling of some unique wines and craft beer at the Sante South Sampling Palate kiosk. Groove to the music and enjoy a special sneak peek of the art collections being showcased at the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival.

The Art

Some of America’s most talented artists converge on Ridgeland for the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival, a juried art festival that includes clay, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media 2D and 3D, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood.

The free event provides art enthusiasts and shoppers the opportunity to interact with the artists personally. For a complete list of participating artists, click here.

Artisans from the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi will be on hand demonstrating their various crafts and they’ll be on hand at the Children’s Creative Craft Corner to help your budding artist create their own “make and take” piece of art.

New this year is the Pup Park. All Art, Wine & Wheels events are dog-friendly and we hope you stop by the pet green space during the Fine Arts Festival to create a piece of artwork for your pup to take home!

Festival attendees can enjoy sampling unique wines and beer at the Sante South Sampling Palate. Guests 21 and older can purchase a punch card at the Information Tents located on the festival grounds and take it to the Sampling Kiosk for some fabulous adult beverages. Food trucks will also be at the festival offering some good eats for everyone. Or if you’d rather dine out, Ridgeland is home to many top tier restaurants as well.

Local boutiques and brand name merchants will also have ongoing weekend specials during the festival – there is no shortage of shopping!

The Wine

The Sante South Wine Festival, the largest wine and culinary extravaganza in Mississippi, will return in 2022, but in the meantime, the wine (and select craft beer) will still flow at the Sante South Sampling Palate kiosks during the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival.

Sante South will also host the Brawn and Bubbles Run Now Wine Later 5K Run for the Brain race on Friday evening at 6 p.m. near the show fountain on the north side of Renaissance at Colony Park at the bridge at the C-Spire building .

This is the only race in the area where participants can enjoy a scenic run followed by the Kick-Off Party, complete with wine, beer and nibbles, to celebrate finishing the race. For more information and to register online,

The Wheels

The Natchez Trace Century Ride has quickly become one of the largest spring cycling events in Mississippi. Each year, more than 700 cyclists have jump started their cycling season while discovering Ridgeland’s small-town charm and hospitality and pedaling on stretches of national scenic byway.

With choice of distances from 8, 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles with mild to moderate elevation, it is for riders of all levels. The Natchez Trace Century Ride will take place on Saturday, May 1 at 7 a.m., and will start at the Ridgeland Recreational Center.

All Century Ride registrants will have access to the VIP Social at the Kick-Off Party.
