Whether you're planning to celebrate a major life event or just that the weekend is finally here, check out these great tips from our partners at The Place at Harbour Crossing on how to celebrate safely with your family and friends!

#CelebrateSafely #ridgelandmsmeetings #ridgelandmsweddings #ridgelandmseventsHow to plan a party during COVID-19

You are turning 50 soon and want to celebrate with your friends in a safe way. Whatever the event, The Place at Harbour Crossing is here to help you organize a COVID-clean party.

In the 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting space in our event venue, we can seat the mandatory 100 guests at tables with six guests placed six feet apart from the nearest table (June 2020 mandate). If you plan to have more people than that, you can divide the guest list in two with half coming early. You then sanitize and the other half come later.

You can also include family and friends that are out of town or out of state, or those who do not feel comfortable in public, through using Zoom or Facetime. You can always broadcast your event on Facebook Live or Google Live for many more people to enjoy.
The guests will stay seated and will be served food and drinks. You can have dancing but need to practice social distancing. Options include having the DJ call a table at a time to the dance floor to avoid crowds. The DJ could also lead games or karaoke as a way to enjoy the music.

These are trying times, but we all want to remain safe by practicing social distancing, avoiding crowds, wearing masks, and washing your hands/using hand sanitizer to minimize your risk. If you feel comfortable and your guests are comfortable, there are options that allow you to still celebrate memorable events in a safe way.
